Formnext 2022 is taking shape and Airtech is gearing up for an exciting presence to showcase our Large Format Printing Services for composites. We manufacture tooling up to 12m x 3m on our LSAM printers with integrated machining capability (5 Axis) in the USA and Europe, covering the full range of tooling applications: molds, form tools, bond tools, jigs, fixtures. Large scale tooling can be designed, tooled, and built faster without compromising quality. This is the quickest way to get high accuracy, high performance tooling without the wait time or excessive cost. We are also displaying several examples of composite tooling customer cases that have been 3D printed with Airtech Dahltram® AM resins.
High Performance Resins for Large Format Additive Manufacturing
Airtech Advanced Materials Group has been extruding and compounding resins for 50 years and has expanded its offering with a game-changing line of unique resins for additive manufacturing. We will be featuring our full line of Dahltram® AM resins and Dahlpram® purging compounds. As Airtech continues to drive innovation, development, and testing in the additive manufacturing market, it has partnered with leading manufacturers of industrial large scale 3D printers like Thermwood, Ingersoll/ Camozzi, Titan Robotics, Belotti, CEAD to ensure that Dahltram® resins meet and exceed the requirements for 3D printing on all LFAM platforms. All our AM resins are recyclable and could be reused, making the AM process more sustainable and less environmentally impacting.
Large Format Printing Services and Auxiliary Materials
We will continue to develop resins and other auxiliary products for the industry on an ongoing basis. Our focus is beyond just large format printers and includes all pellet-fed equipment at all scales. We have developed print-on surface products introduced for common FDM and UV curing type printers. This year, we will be demonstrating our line of repair and finishing solutions which address day-to-day use and service of tooling.

The high-performance vehicles carbon composite body panels were produced using 3D printed mold tooling manufactured by BBi Technical Partner, Airtech Advanced Materials Group - utilizing Airtech’s Dahltram® range of resins and Print-Tech® in-house tooling 3D Print service. Motorsports programs require rapid development cycles and, with Print-Tech®, these molds can be produced faster than ever before. This unique ability enables aerodynamic development and part manufacturing to be completed in weeks, not months.
